Life is getting more and more hectic as the year goes on...

Well, first things first, our choir syf is just around the corner. We'll be going to Victoria Concert Theatre to perform in front of a panel of judges, and this is happening on the coming monday. And we have a secret masterplan to completely pwn the dam thing *muahaha*

We've decided to perform in front of the whole school on monday morning after chapel, and thus it'll be approximately 3 hrs before our real syf performance. As E.wan put it, the school performance is only the appetizer, the main coure is the syf performance ^_^ I really think we've improved alot over the past 2~3 weeks, and with much luck we might even snag a GOLD!!! I never really thought that possible since we were actually sounding like complete crap on founder's day, and our tone/dynamics were totally rubbish.

But on another note, we've begun on a completely new phase that even we experienced seniors (we like to call ourselves that) are have not been able to grasp hold of yet. And that is the "adding loads of dumb and irrelevant actions into our song" phase. Personally, I think its completely useless and it does NOT help our syncopation at all, and contary to popular belief, I actually feel that we get more stressed out to make sure we perform all the actions in time with each other and the music. I mean, if even one of us messes up, the whole things blown #_-' and the worse thing is this year's sec 1's are a restless bunch, and if one of them loses focus and WAVERS and craps up, we're soooooo dead....

Even I have some trouble coordinating the hand and leg actions with the song. I'm just too used to singing the song as it is in every practice, where we wholly concentrate on the dynamics of the song and hte conductor, whether our pitching is off or not and stuff like that. But with these new actions that supposedly liven up our performance, i find our overall tone to be lacking as compared to before.

ahhh we must jia you man. wish us luck on monday! its veri far away tho lol...

and to top it off i have a load of overdue work. Like really overdue kind of work. As in the kind that I'll probably never get around to finishing kind of work. Which is really bad actually. I tried to make it a point to finish every single piece of work this year (which doesn't say much =.=) as well as -try- to do more revision. But staying back till 7 and reaching home at 8+ isn't helping things. Gah I shall just leave that to after syf. I'll catch up then! =P Just want all of u to know that being in a performing art is no piece of cake k! Its not like slack at all la...We train as much as any sport when the competition is nearing, and possibly even more so. Because unlike sports, we only have ONE chance, ONE friggin' chance to show the panel of judges what we have been doing over the past few months, and with that ONE performance, we'll be graded and accessed.

Which also more or less means that we have to be perfect on performance day, and not a single mistake should occur, for we have no second chance. Unlike sports, where u might lose a match, but still have a chance in the competition if u buck up and play better on the consecutive matches. Choir/Band/Chamber/Guitar and even Drama is tough okay! Give us the support we deserve and STOP BEING SO WHAT ABOUT RUGBY LA DAMMIT!!!

okay okay i better go do some of that over hmwrk >.<
