oh haw haw I haven't blogged in a while.
Seems mandatory for everyone to say that line in nearly every other blog post =.=
Anyway, the mid-years are gonna start! Omgah I have barely started studying. And to think Tim liew and Samuel have nearly mugged all of their chinese words already. Gah I am feeling inferior. But I believe that with leet skillz I will somehow pull through and beat them all once again. Somehow I will do it. For that is the way of the Bong.
Anyway to start things off, I've finally attended one session of Mervlyn Goh's alpha course. This was a most interesting experience to me. When i first got there, Song, Royston and Mr.Goh's brother, Mr.Goh, Mrs.Goh and 2 very skinny guys who were laughing and smirking throughout the whole thing, and this guy who I shall now nickname "Wanker".
Well, when I first got there Mervlyn Goh was "pleasently surprised". I guess she didn't really expect me to turn up. Oh wells haha see I'm so responsible and trustworthy =P. Anyway, i proceeded to intro myself, and they started off with abit of discussion. It surprised me that most ppl there were actually christians, for I thought the alpha course's main aim is to tell non-christians like me, about why there is really christ and all about jesus and stuff. But then again I suppose non-believers wouldn't even bother to go and listen, and anyway I only went cos 1) I was forced and 2) I was informed that there would be KFC served. "wau" gluttony! Omgah the seven sins >.< urgh i lameness...
Anyway, the aforementioned "wanker" decided to sprout his first Intelligent question of the day, which went somewhere along this line. "Hey wanking is bad right?" Short and sweet. Such a lovely fellow. Its small wonder that herman the gila monster didn't just kiss his rosy ass right there and then. My reaction? Somewhere between screaming fuck out loud (thankfully i stopped myself in time), and just basically going O.O Which is pretty much what everyone else did. For some reason, only Mervlyn Goh remain unpeturbed. She simply patted him on the back and said "Yes its not good. It leads to many sexual problems in future", to which Mr.Goh added "Yes yes (add in scientific jargon abt sexual stuff) blah blah". Woah no wonder she's a counseller. She's actually qualified! I think she would have done much better as a psychologist, instead of some english teacher in some school in some small country in a part of the world. Psychologist > English Teacher kthnx.
On to the alpha course. Perhaps I should mention that Song Yun recieved a call about now, to which he promptly left the place. And when Royston asked me later where I think Song Yun had went, I guessed it on first try. I mean, its bloody obvious. So near town and Saturday evening somemore, even I would wanna spend it with a girl. But oh wellz I was placed in Alpha course by my wunnerfool engrish teeecher, so yea.
Anyway, we went on to watching this video by some dewd called Nicky Gumballs >.<> auggie) and lashed out questions towards Mr.Goh, about a shit load of things that me, darren, samuel, augustin, mark and jed discussed about during the chinese Oral waiting time duration. Anyway I had a pretty sound arguement ready, and truth to be told, Mr.Goh was constantly pushed back to his last resort line, "It all boils down to faith". Oh well but i guess thats what religion is all about anyway.
Then after that me and roy went to the cairnhill cc, with me calling jerome out to play ball. And to our horror(not surprise this time) the basketball court was completely trashed up by this street soccer competition. There were traces of mats everywhere, from semi-dark skinned people wearing oversized tee-shirts, to semi-dark skinned people wearing oversized tee-shirts. Oh yea and the caps too. Yes make a fashion stattement indeed. They might as well have been holding up anti-bush banners with "HEY WORLD I'M A MAT" painted on instead. The snippets of conversation I caught were interesting as well, and somehow their slurry speech patterns reminded me of "wanker". Gogo backbone of Singapore society.
And after that, roy decided to go home, and we parted ways at the newton MRT station, with me giving Roy a gdnite kiss and a hug and many tears were shared between us. blah. Yes I went home and so did he. It was a hellishly boring evening. Damn that Song Yun!
Oh wellz exams are coming. Next Monday is Labour day, which gives us abit of extra time to cram of SS and practice for our math. What i fear most next week is actually our CHEMISTRY PRACTICAL. I have a really really bad feeling about Chem prac... Y_Y Oh well dota calls. I need to relieve stress, no? Gl hf to all ppl having mid-years.
