Finally checked out the
studentssketchpad, a webblog which depicts Singaporean students in their nature (aka stereotypical shit).
It was mildly amusing, and I did laugh quite abit at the idea of burning bras. Although I do wonder whether or not the creators of this comic bothered with the artwork. I'm a pretty avid manga reader myself, and I think the artwork is really really important to the readers =P Though perhaps the point of the comic itself is just to interpolate more untrue facts into the already overboard stereotypes.
Their reasoning is that they're attempting to be frank about these stereotypes and just have a good laugh. But I wonder whether it really originated from a random thought and just
happened to happen. Or was it a strand of jealousy of these brand name schools who are marketed constantly?
Finally, their ideas of feminism and elitism is really off, as shown by the multiple disagreements from comments. That coupled with their spelling errors (not intended ones, mind you) and some clear lack of factual knowledge show that they're actually less intelligent than they believe they are. Which is pretty lame since they're trying to poke at others from a supposedly "I-am-above-you-omniscient-third-party" view.
All in all, a good laugh, both at the webcomic and the authors.
UPDATE: My mom's being a bitch and making me retake the Chinese O's. And most people got B3> too. Gragh #@%$*&!@%$ mom. To think I was overjoyed at getting a B3.
Naive.
