Well...seems like we've lost our rugby title for the 2nd year running. I'm awfully disappointed if you wanted to know, and not just cause of the (lack of) holiday...
I was really really saddened when I saw half the ruggers in tears and especially Nat, who was crying his eyes out. I guess the disappointment is even greater when you put in more work/effort, since you're actually aspiring to achieve much more. But I really respect all ruggers, no matter what they do, for they really have a heck load of training, and they do put in alot of effort and will into the game. Rugby training is madly tough and intensive, and they have such great team spirit (contary to hockey =.=) I guess thats why they are where they are now. Makes me really think about choir, and whether we've really put in our all. Where the heck is our team spirit >.< eurgh no wonder we didn't GwH la...
But on the other hand, losing 2 years in a row is really terrible. We were all so revved up to win this year after the last defeat, since they were really roused up by an unexpected loss. But well, as DRONG would have put it, God made it so. Christ no matter how hard you play, god isn't going to do any freaking thing for you, or magically win the match for you. What if everyone prays to win? Its so...contradictive that its ridiculous. And don't give me any nonsense on how "god planned for it to go in that way" shit.
Anyway I've been persuaded (forcibly) by Mervlyn Goh to go attend the Alpha course for youths which is done by her husband. Somehow she found out that I lived nearby and wanted me to go for it last saturday. Truth to be told, I was halfway thru a Dota game and found it inconvenient to stop my game and cycle over the the MoH building area. So i tactfully declined and said I was busy. Well, I was...
hMm the Alpha course is gonna be interesting tho. I wanna see what they have to say abt god n' jesus and the works, since its supposedly very impartial and just merely a lecture kinda thing. Like more of an info talk than a persuasive talk. Though they'll probably somehow slip it in anyway...
Anyway, Mark is very very screwed. We were playing basketball during a Bio free period yesterday, and his name was announced over the PA to speak to DRONG. And the worst thing was, we were supposed to be in the library, but well, we weren't (think basketball). So along came Dickson + Mark C, who promptly informed mark that he was summoned to the Principal's office.
Marks initial reaction: "Holy shit..."
Anyway, he had to go borrow Wang Miao's shirt as the one he was wearing was waaaayyy too sweaty (think naturally swearty mark in basketball conditions), it was literally soaked. As Tim put it, Mark's shirt was leaking. So Mark had a meeting with Drong, and somehow managed to survive it, and come back to class without being kicked out.
Seriously, if our teachers were really strict and See Teck Hock like, Mark wouldn't even be in school now. The number of times that he had come to school OBSCENELY late is obscene...He'll turn up at 9+ or 10+ depending on what lessons there were earlier on, and he'll just ponn them all. He's been constantly ponning lit double periods where Maria Nathan makes us write our lit essays, so he owes her approximately four or five of them. And he has ridiculous amounts of free periods, ranging from Bio, Amath and Physics. On some days he practically doesn't even have lessons, since he skips those which are in the morning. And even dragon lady aka Loo Shiek Kien has given up on lecturing him or trying to make him buck up and come on time or do work. She has handed the matters into DRONG's capable hands.
Mark, you better watch out dewd...
